I live abroad. Do I still need to register?
Yes, if you let property in England on an assured tenancy. You will need a correspondence address in England or Wales for each property and a GOV.UK One Login.
The detail
The duty depends on where the property is, not where you live, so landlords who live abroad must register too. Each property entry needs a correspondence address in England or Wales (not a PO Box), and everyone needs a GOV.UK One Login. The government says offline routes will be available for landlords who need them.
Note: The official sources do not yet say how One Login identity checks will work for people living abroad.

Your deadline depends on where the rental property is, not where you live.
